Disinformation in Ads Admitted by Better Homes CEO

Better Homes is a firm in the United Arab Emirates that deals in e-marketing for properties in all the cities of the country. After being reported by certain people, the CEO of the Better Homes, Mr. Ryan Mahoney admitted the other day that at times, the wrong information has been shared on their website. While talking to Dubai Eye’s Business Breakfast, he admitted that there have been incidents in which the information updated on the websites was incorrect and he was not at all sorry for it because it was not his mistake as per him. He says that the agent was actually responsible for it.
He also said that the agents and manager are responsible for such mistakes as the website can not keep track of every agent and every property. The matter was first investigated and then reported in news on Tuesday that the website had been providing incorrect information in the descriptions of the properties at certain instances. There were blunders in which Dubai Metro was told to be running through The Palm Jumeirah while at other places where shopping malls were praised but they did not actually exist.
He said that the mistake could be called as a system error or more appropriately a human error because it was just a mistake and though there was some false information displayed regarding the routes of the bus but at least there were no fake properties or cheating being done by the website. He blamed the agents for it and said that they must know everything before they put up information on the website so that such errors do not get repeated.
